TRANSPORTABLE MANUAL ALT-AZIMUTH TELESCOPES

Maser N is not a common Dobsonian telescope; Maser N is a system of alt-azimuth Newton scopes, designed and developed for advanced planetary and deep-sky visual amateur astronomers. Its high precision metallic construction allows these scopes far superior performances compared to commercial grade Dobsonian.

 

The Maser N high mechanical stability, cannot be reached by any wooden mount. Thanks to the original design of the steel alt-azimuth mount, coupled to a Serrurier optical tube, featuring aluminium alloy truss-poles, the MASER N telescopes do not present any kind of vibration during focusing, even at higher magnification. You can appreciate this high mechanical stability during the use of heavy wide field 2" or binocular eyepieces, when a 80 mm finder-scope coupled to a laser pointer is installed.

Smooth and precise motions while aiming: thanks to the fine adjustable frictions, the MASER N allows unequal smooth and sure motions, far superior to all other Dobson design scopes; the put on motion is fluid, with no back effects or balance issues, even at higher magnification. Everyone can easily point and follow manually the selected celestial object, without any difficult. All moving parts and assemblies are worked under high precision specs, and mounted on steel ball bearings

While the optical re-collimation is easy to do, its lasting on long times is excellent. Due to the two fast clamp spherical heads on each truss-pole, the MASER N Newton scopes are specially designed for keeping the perfect optical collimation after each re-assembling; usually re-collimation is needed after several years of service only.

SUPERMASER design presents a very compact size when disassembled, while remain easy to reassemble: no keys, screwdrivers or optional tools needed. The 20" and 24" can be easily transported, reassembled and disassembled by one person only. The high precision junction system suited to the specially designed fast clamp truss-poles, save any further fine mechanical and optical regulation time. The high optical quality of the SUPERMASER is guaranteed by the high accuracy working of the optical surface, joined to a special design of the primary mirror cell. All optics are our own made, controlled, tested and certificate by interferometric test.

The whole metallic construction (steel and aluminium) allows the structure a higher thermal conductivity than common wooden Dobson mounts; this fact allows MASER N telescopes a faster reaching of environmental/operation temperature. To further shorten the acclimatization time, the parabolic mirror cell is provided by 3 ventilation round holes that can be suited with electric fan (optional), for shorten the needed time.

Durability and Warranty: due to the whole metallic structure construction, protected by undercoat plus finishing poliurethane coating, MASER N telescope is a long last instrument that can be owned by several owners through its life. The primary mirror coating duration is about 8 to 12 years, under standard utilization, but a mirror coating work is not too expensive. All mechanics are 5 years Warranty.
